The Florida JR. Panthers Travel Hockey Club is proud to announce the creation of the first comprehensive girls' hockey program in the state of Florida. The JR. Lady Panthers will have teams at the 15U and 19U level, each designed to meet the needs of individual players. Whether your motivation is to gain exposure to prep schools or colleges, learn the game of ice hockey, continue to improve your hockey skills, or have a chance at winning a Regional or National championship, the JR. Lady Panthers have a spot for you. All home games and practices will take place at incredibleICE, Florida's Premier Twin Ice Skating Complex and Official Home of the Florida Panthers.

In-House Program

The in-house program will feature once a week practice and game play within the regular house program. This program will focus on skill development and game play for female players who want to play hockey in a local league on an all girls team. House development will allow for the female player to play with peers and experience the thrill of girls' hockey in the only complete girls program in Florida. The JR. Lady Panthers will be a USA Hockey registered program meeting the needs of Florida's female players both on an in-house and travel level.

The travel program will feature twice a week practices and dryland training. The girls team will also compete in jamborees against other teams from across the country. In addition, the travel program includes attendance at nationally recognized girls' tournaments such as the Connecticut Polar Bears Holiday Tournament and the Rhode Island Thanksgiving Tournament. The travel program will include two teams that are USA Hockey Nationals bound -- Under 15 and Under 19.

Other Opportunities

Attendance at girls' tournaments has allowed the U15 and U19 team to participate in girls' hockey at the highest levels available. Several Florida players have moved on to playing college hockey in the Northeast. Also, several players now attend prep schools with hockey programs as a result of their high academic and athletic achievement.
